Product description
A simple Excel calculator with a chart allows an investor to evaluate the profitability of his portfolio of securities in a convenient visual format.
At the end of each month, you must enter information in the gray cells.
The investor enters in the appropriate cell information about the funds deposited to his brokerage or investment account.
Then indicates information about the withdrawn funds.
In the last cell, you enter information about the total state of your brokerage or investment account. Excel automatically compares the results with the previous month. Converts them into a percentage and displays them to the investor.
For the convenience of further interpretation, the function of automatic graphing is implemented in Excel. With its help, the investor can correctly assess the effectiveness of his decisions in the current period.
Excel for assessing the profitability of an investment portfolio is calculated for a period of one year. Based on the information entered, he independently sums up the results of the investor´s work for 12 months. The last line displays the result. It is considered the rate of return of the investor´s portfolio.
Each investor will get their own unique result. It largely depends on the effectiveness of the decisions made when buying securities. Monthly and annual values, based on the status of a brokerage or investment account, are discounted for possible defaults, market revaluation, as well as new profits from dividends, amortization or coupons due to reinvestment.
To fill in the presented table, the investor will need to work with brokerage reports.
Most often, investors abandon the stock market, as they constantly see losses on their investments. This table allows you to take a fresh look at working with securities. Ultimately, the investor realizes that the displayed portfolio losses may have long since been offset by coupon payments, bond redemptions, dividends, or amortization.
Additional information
The presented version of the accounting table for assessing the profitability of an investment portfolio works only on a computer or tablet.
The width of the table and graphs makes it inconvenient to view it on a smartphone.
